Matthias Schröder received his M.Sc. in Computer Science from Bielefeld University in 2011. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2015 after working in the Computer Graphics & Geometry Processing Group at Bielefeld University, where he worked on real-time hand tracking. During this time, he was a visiting researcher in the Computer Graphics and Geometry Laboratory at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. He started as a postdoctoral researcher in the Neuroinformatics Group at Bielefeld University in 2016 with a research focus on deep learning for real-time action recognition. His research interests include machine learning, data science, geometry processing, and computer vision.
